Alarm Information

None

Handling Process

For a new host group: Only one license is consumed no matter how many LUN mappings are added to a host group. For a new host: Only one license is consumed no matter how many LUN mappings are added to a host. Adding port mappings does not consume license.

Root Cause

License consumption involve adding host groups, hosts, and mappings, which often confuses onsite engineers.

Suggestions

License consumption is strongly related to the number of hosts (host groups). The triggering (effective) condition is to add LUN mappings to hosts (host groups).
