After the T3500 is powered on, the online status indicator of the hard disk in slot sdw is red on. This hard disk cannot be detected after you run the fdisk -l command. After you replace the hard disk in slot sdw and wait for three minutes. the online status indicator of the hard disk is still red on.
Replace the expander board. For details, see Replacing an Expander Board in Oceanspace T3000 Storage Node Troubleshooting-(V100R001C01).
This method only adopts to T3000 V100R001C01SPC006 or above. If the version is earlier than T3000 V100R001C01SPC006, the customer needs to replace the faulty disk with a new one and then re-power on the device after powering off the device.
1.Enter the serial port 4 interface. For details, see 3.1 Entering the Serial Port Interface Of the T3500. Run the porte 4 (4 corresponds to slot sdw) command and the online status indicator of the new disk is still red on (that is, the red indicator is not on). It indicates that removing the faulty disk in slot sdw turns slot sdw to protection status.
2.Switch off the system power switch to power off the device and then switch on the system power switch to power on the device. Wait for three minutes and the online status indicator of this hard disk is still red on. It indicates that the fault is not caused by a faulty disk but by a faulty phy on the expander chip.
lTwo steps for power-on and power-off: After receiving the power-off command, power supplies of different levels are powered off in succession; after receiving the power-on command, power supplies of different levels are powered on in succession.
lOne step for restart: After receiving the restart command, all modules are reset once. During this process, the device will not be powered off.
