When the NetBackup performs a backup job, a request for the specified tape drive is sent to the device management. However, the tape drive is already assigned.

Alarm Information

None

Handling Process

Display the tape drive status (by running the vmoprcmd -d command or another method) to view the list of tape drives and their assignment. Send the request later or clear the tape drive assignment: Stop all applications on the tape drive and run the tpunmount command to uninstall the media, or reset the tape drive. If the specified tape drive is incorrect, renew the request. Specify correct tape drive names or index for the operation interface as required.
