How to Configure RAID Cards of the T3500?

Issue Description

The T3500 at a certain deployment site is equipped with no RAID card before delivery. This case explains how to install and configure RAID cards onsite.

Handling Process

Step 1  Obtain the latest IPMITOOL package and copy it to C:\root.
Step 2  Choose Start > Run and type cmd to display the DOS screen. Go to the ipmitool directory.
Step 3  Type upgrade.dat and the IPMI IP address. Then press Enter.
Step 4  Press 4. Then type t3000diag after the password prompt.
Step 5  Type zone 2. Note that zone 2 is invisible on the screen.
Step 6  Run reset to restart the T3500.
Step 7  Power off the T3500 and then power it on.

Root Cause

Configuration of the expansion board must be consistent with the configuration of RAID cards. Otherwise, RAID cards are unavailable.


It is recommended to install and configure RAID cards before delivery. The onsite RAID card installation is complicated because it involves hardware installation and software commissioning.
