Issue Description

The database mirroring is configured at a certain deployment site. One day, it is found that the system configuration information is lost due to a disk failure.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

If the mirror is performed on the VTL database, the lost configuration information can be recovered. To recover configuration information, do as follows:
Step 1  Right-click a database and choose Mirror > Remove to delete the mirror configuration.
Step 2  Replace the faulty disk. After the disk where the database resides fails, the mirror disk automatically switches to a master disk and the VTL6000 works normally.
Step 3  Right-click a database and choose Mirror > Add to create mirror configuration.
Step 4  Right-click a database and choose Mirror > Synchronize to synchronize configuration information.
Now, system configuration information is recovered.

Root Cause

Data asynchronization due to a disk failure causes configuration information damage or loss.
