No Output After Running the IPMI Command

Issue Description

During the process of out-band management, no data is output after the IPMI command is run.

Handling Process

Step 1 Observe whether the link indicator of the Ethernet port is normal.
Step 2 Replace the network cable that connects the AS and the Ethernet port.
Step 3 Check whether the network is connected.
Step 4 Check whether the IP address is correct.
Step 5 If the problem persists, contact Huawei Symantec technical support engineers.

Root Cause

Possible Causes
The network in which the VTL3500 and the maintenance terminal are connected is faulty.

 If the link indicator of the Ethernet port is abnormal, you can determine that the Ethernet
port is faulty.
 If the link indicator of the Ethernet port is normal, you can determine that the IP address is
entered wrongly or the network is disconnected.
