Failing to Configure the Replication Function of the Deduplication Tape

Issue Description

The replication function of the deduplication tape fails to be configured.

Handling Process

Step 1 Delete the replication configuration and modify the SIR cluster name.
Edit the /etc/passwd file and delete the items similar to the following:
SIR-Cluster67:x:500:11580:IPStor User:/home/SIR-Cluster67:/dev/null SIRCluster67:
x:501:11580:IPStor User:/home/SIR-Cluster67:/dev/null
Step 2 Re-create a replication configuration.
Step 3 If the problem persists, contact Huawei Symantec technical support engineers.

Root Cause

Possible Causes
If the iSCSI replication is configured early, you cannot configure the replication function.

To locate and troubleshoot the fault, do as follows:
