An SVN3000 Client Failed to Connect to the SVN3000 Virtual Gateway

Publication Date:  2019-07-26 Views:  442 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

A user attempted to log in to the SVN3000 virtual gateway. After the user entered the user name and password, the page displayed the message of "Verifying the client identifier" for a long time. Then a dialog box was displayed, stating "Virtual gateway login failed. Please check the proxy." The login failed.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

1.    Check the configuration of the SVN3000. The SVN3000 is not configured for IP address verification.
2.    Check the terminal user name and the user name recorded on the SVN3000. The user names are consistent.
3.    Check the user name and password. The user name and password are correct. It is determined that the problem lies in the network extension client. Install the SVNClientSP1Setup patch on the terminal. The problem is removed.

Root Cause

1.    The terminal hardware or system has been changed, causing inconsistent information during verification.
2.    The client obtains the IP address dynamically. The IP address has changed.
3.    The terminal identifier verification is enabled on the SVN3000. The terminal name is inconsistent with that recorded on the SVN3000.
