Cameras Cannot Have Their Videos Recorded Because the NVR Is Unexpectedly Powered Off

Publication Date:  2012-07-20 Views:  300 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
iNVS V100R002C01
None of the cameras connected to the V1300 can have their videos recorded.

Alarm Information
On the event tab page of the ESM system, the alarm No hard disk is available when writing media data to the hard disk on the NVR is generated on the NVR.
Alarm Information
Handling Process
Replace the faulty disks.
After the disks are formatted, the system recovers.
Root Cause
Because the NVR is configured with RAID groups, check the status of the RAID groups.
1.         Log in to the ISM.
2.         Click the RAID Management tab.
The status of some RAID groups is Fail.

The NVR is powered off unexpectedly multiple times. It is inferred that the unexpected power-off causes multiple bad sectors on disks. As a result, LUNs become unaccessible.
V1300 V100R002C01SPC010B013 and later versions have integrated the latest software RAID to resolve this problem. If the device cannot be upgraded to V100R002C01SPC010B013, it is recommended that you use non-RAID disks to avoid this problem if the customer agrees.
