NVR Fails to Start Because the BIOS Boot Sequence Is Incorrect

An NVR halts on the network start page during startup. The startup fails.

Handling Process

Set 1st Boot Device to SCSI.

Root Cause
Cause analysis:
1.         Restart the NVR. When press to enter setup (F4 on Remote Keyboard) is displayed, press Del to enter the BIOS main menu.
2.         Click the IPMIBoot tab.
If the BIOS boot sequence is incorrect, 1st Boot Device is USB.

The BIOS boot sequence has not been set back to the factory settings after the it is modified to install the operating system, which causes the NVR startup failure.
When you install the operating system, you are advised to use one of the following setting methods:
l           Set 1st Boot Device to USB and 2nd Boot Device to SCSI. After the installation is complete, remove the USB driver.
l           Use the same settings, but after the installation is complete, set 1st Boot Device to SCSI.
