In a project, two S5000 storage devices connect to two IBM X3805 ASs through the Brocade FC switch to form a dual-SAN architecture. Veritas Storage Foundation High Availability 5.1 for Windows (SFW HA) creates mirrors for the two storage devices with its disk mirroring function, while Veritas Cluster Server implements the high availability of SQL Server 2005. By using the supplied UltraPath software instead of the DMP function of SFW, users build the application scenario of two storage devices in two cabinets. Later on, hard disk resources are created in the VCS service group, and the manual switchover of the resources is normal. When the VCS service group performs resource migration after a node is powered off, the blue screen occurs on another node and prompts "updsm.sys driver error".

When the Huawei Symantec storage devices are used in combination with the Symantec Storage Foundation software, it is recommended to check the HCL first for compatibility. If they are compatible, please use the DMP function supplied with the software.
