Issue Description

The number of used licenses exceeds the preset threshold. In the fault alarms, the license alarm is generated.
If the number of NEs managed by the VSM reaches the upper threshold, you cannot add a new NE.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

1.         Log in to the VSM client.

2.         On the main menu bar, choose Administration > Settings > NE License Alert.

3.         In the NE License Alert Settings dialog box, view NE License Alarm Setting.

If the license threshold is too low, set the license threshold to a proper value.

4.         If the license threshold is reasonable, choose Help > License Management > License Information on the main menu bar.

5.         In the License Information dialog box, select the Resource Control Item tab to view the NE license consumption.

Apply for new licenses if the licenses are used up. For details, see 6.1 Applying For a License File.

Root Cause

When the number of NE managed by the VSM exceeds the preset threshold, an NE license alarm of the VSM server is generated.
