Failure to Connect to the Server During Login to the MSuite

Issue Description

During login to the MSuite, a message is displayed indicating the failure to connect to the server and asking you to check whether the entered IP address and port number are correct.

Alarm Information

Failed to connect to the server.Please ensure that the input IP address and port No. are correct. 

Handling Process

l           If the MSuite process is not started, run C:\HWENGR\engineering\startserver.bat to start the MSuite process.

Locate the java, msserver, msdaemon, or javaw process in the Windows Task Manager.

l           If the MSuite process has been started, it is recommended that you restart the MSuite process.

1.         To stop the MSuite process, run C:\HWENGR\engineering\stopserver.bat.

To start the MSuite process, run C:\HWENGR\engineering\startserver.bat

Root Cause

In the case when the IP address and port number are checked to be correct, this fault may occur because the MSuite process is not started.
