Issue Description

In some bureau, the rate of copying from each other between two folders in the same LUN is 10M/s. The writing performance of the LUN is low. The network adapter is 1000M/s and there is no limit to the hardware.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

Modify the strategy of the LUN from “write back” to “force write back” manually.

Root Cause

Log in the management interface of the storage to check the write strategy, it is set “write back”, but the actual strategy is “write through”, which results in the low writing performance of the LUN.

1. In such situation, modify “write back” to “force write back” manually.
2. Check to see whether the device has BBU or UPS, this failure that the set is “write back” but actually “write through” is usually resulting from lack of power failure protection.
3. Suggest the clients to configure UPS or battery module, or the abnormal power outage would result in the lost of data in Cache.
