The full mesh network of a video monitor project displays as: the upper--video monitor system, mid-level—blade server of Huawei (T8223, a blade server, two switch boards of XCBA), the lower—three storages of S1200. There are 9 LUN in total, with each storage part 3 LUN to the blade and all the storages are loaded in one blade system.
The problem in field is that the client found all 9 loaded LUN had error and the disks were lost so that the program can not find the storage, which results in that the monitor videos were not written into the disk, all data were lost, and system response was slow, even breakdown. After resetting, the host response was still slow and occurred frequently.
After replacing the S1200 with product of S5000 with iSCSI interface, there still occurs the problem.
The core of the network adapter is Broadcom 5715, and the OS of the client is Windows Server 2003 R2 SP1.Standard Edition. It was found in the lab that the vision 10.24 drive of network adapter is not good to meet the demand, and we should downgrade the drive of network adapter to 9.52. This problem has nothing to do with the server, storage and the switch board, and the key is the drive of network adapter.
The IP SAN configurated with Broadcom 5715 in OS Windows 2003 SP1 need the 9.52 network adapter drive, while the vision 10.24 has serious bug, so we should not use it.
