 Combo ports are optical opto-electronic complex interface, can switch electrical port mode and optical port mode in need .
1. How to determine the switch physical interface is Combo port?
(1) Through the switch panel to determine, the two ports interface identification and number are same ,and medium is different, so the two ports are combo ports .
(2) View the command line, display interface interface-type x / x / x
For example:
[Quidway] display interface 2/0/0
GigabitEthernet2/0/0 current state: DOWN
Line protocol current state: DOWN
Switch Port, PVID: 1001, TPID: 8100 (Hex), The Maximum Frame Length is 9216

2.Switch Combo default type and conversion command summary:
(1) V100R003 and previous versions, Combo port default type is optical port;
(2) V100R005 and later versions, Combo port default type is automatic switching, interface type is first insert first used.
Conversion command: Interface view combo-port {auto (automatic) | copper (electrical interface) | fiber (optical interface)}.
