Certain meeting place self-loop normally, after join the conference, emerge green screen

Issue Description

When rebuilding VP8020 terminal in certain meeting place, after using VP8020, finish terminal software V2.33 version update. Exam native machine, the native machine digital self-loop video and audio normally. But after join the conference, image turn to green screen, sound is normal.

Alarm Information

Check log, find out the alarm information “decode normal” and “decode abnormal” come out in turn. At the same time the image shown as green screen and blue screen in turn. Interval is about 3 seconds, the sound is normal at that time. The estimate for the problem is software upgrade is not successful. Then upgrade the terminal software again. Malfunction’s phenomenon changes.  when native machine self-exam, initialization is normal, after setting parameter of the terminal, terminal join the conference. First the screen shows blue, then black and last for about 30 seconds. Then  the image start to show green and blue in turn, and the sound is normal. Observe the alarm information, it is the same as before. This time, disconnect the transmit line, terminal can not restore to normal.

Handling Process

The estimate for the problem is software upgrade is not successful. Then upgrade the terminal software again. Malfunction changes. When native machine self-exam, initialization is normal, after setting parameter of the terminal, terminal join the conference. First the screen shows blue, then black and last for about 30 seconds. Then the image start to show green and blue in turn, and the sound is normal. Observe the alarm information; it is the same as before. This time, disconnect the transmit line, terminal cannot restore to normal.
This time, we can’t judge the malfunction, disconnect the transmission, cut off power of terminal and restart. Terminal comes back to normal. This time, terminal’s configuration is first data of upgrade. Self-loop the terminal, observe the image and sound, it is normal, no wrong alarm information. This time, we can tell the terminal its self is alright. After setting the needed data of terminal, self-loop the terminal again, observe the image and sound, all normal. Watch the “hardware state” , “capability volume” and  “conference state” information, all normal. We can say the terminal is alright.
Connect the transmission line; turn out the malfunction still exists. So we judge the malfunction may be in the cooperation of terminal and transmission line. Contact the bureau transmission staff, and ask about the data, find out the data is not wrong.
This time, the malfunction point has been found. So, we focus on the transmission, we suspect the terminal transmission part may have problem, after terminal upgraded, the transmission part is correct and not changed, so, the data may not actually sent to terminal’s interface chip. First, use wrong signaling to set the terminal signaling, and restart. Then the terminal cannot join the conference, behave normally.
Finally, use the right signaling data to set the signaling of terminal. Terminal can join the conference, video and sound are all normall.

Root Cause

Through analysis after the event, check the data of interface from control platform, it is right, but in fact, the data didn’t write into interface chip, and causing native machine self-loop normally. After enter the transmit line, because the terminal host interface does not match the transmission, though established the channel, terminal can join the conference, but in fact, in 2M code flow, the 0 gap and 16 gap is the synchronization information and multi frame information, the 1 gap is sound data, the rest is image data. After established channel, the sound can transmit in gap 1, but in general, both sides transmission cannot match causing image abnormal.
