FAQ - how to deal with network users are being locked

Issue Description

When use web client to log in network management, the user are being locked after three consecutive login password mistakes with the user.

Alarm Information


Handling Process

If the locked user is not the admin user.
Use the users with "security administrator group" and higher network user rights to log in network management.
In the menu bar, select the "system > network security > network user management".
In the "network user management" navigation tree, click the "user".
In the user information list, select the line locked user in and click the right button, select "remove lock".
This user is unlocked.

If the admin user is being locked.
Login web master server, make the command "svc_releaseUser" will unlock the client.

Root Cause

If don't release the locked user by hand, VSM will automatically unlock the user after 30 minutes (the default for 30 minutes, this value can be changed) by the default.
