8220 telephone terminal can’t connect, but 8020 plus terminal can be normal used. The configuration is same with it, the telephone shows error “can’t register to server”.
Let customer check the configuration in 8020 plus terminal, key visual---system--- user-defined setting---call setting---ip setting---ip higher setting, look the interface setting startup, call interface change to 1730, RAS interface, source port:1729, destination port: 1729, so we can kwon that our workmate modify the interface to guarantee the video terminal can be normal used, so 8020 plus terminal can be normal used. But 8220 telephone terminal hasn’t change, so it can’t get online. Then we ask customer if there is interface setting option in 8220, they say no. We advise customer to upgrade software （VCGV600R420B02D0011Sp10(Release 2.80.10 2005.01.26)）.We can set RAS interface in new version software by upgrading. The problem has been solved.
We analysis from “can’t register to server”: the configuration is same with 8020 plus, but terminal can get online, videophone can not. It means there is no fault in network (terminal can be normal used). We doubt the configuration has problem. But there is no problem after we exam every option in 8220. After communicating with customer, they say that this situation happens before, but it becomes normal after upgrading software. And the IP address is only used in local area network. So we doubt if it is because internal network firewall policy set 1719, 1720 interface close, can’t transmit packet, so we can’t register to server successfully.
In local area network, the firewall has influence in our company’s video terminal. If the configuration is ok, we should think about the network problem. Of course, the firewall policy is right, so we need to change the terminal interface number.
