[VTL6000] NBU software faults: It warns error when NetBackup delete medium

Issue Description

In “NetBackup Administration Console” navigation, choose “Media”, right-click magnetic tape in operating area, choose “Delete”. The system warns that we can’t delete the medium which has been distributed.
The phenomena are as below:
Open SSH tool, run media list report commands to list the information of medium. “STATUS” is the state of medium, “STATUS” is not “EXPIRED”, it means this medium hasn’t overdue.

Handling Process

1. Medium overdue
1. Key in cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd
2. Key in ./bpexpdate -m 000014 -d 0
000014 is the “Media ID” of medium.
2. Delete medium
1. In “NetBackup Administration Console” navigation, choose “Media”.
2. Right-click the medium which would be deleted, choose “Delete”.

Root Cause

NetBackup has distributed this medium to a client to copy, the state of medium changes from “Available” to “Assigned”. If this medium isn’t overdue after copying, NetBackup will not allow deleting this medium.
