FAQ-How to recover data when VTL configuration information is lost

Issue Description

Configure database mirror on some site, one day, a disk is damaged cause the configuration information is lost.

Handling Process

If VTL database has a mirror, the configuration information could be recovered. The process is as follow:
1. Right-click database object, choose mirror-->remove, delete the mirror configuration.
2. Replace the damaged disk. After the disk is damaged, the spare disk is changed to main disk automatically, the system is working normally.
3. Right-click database object, choose mirror-->add, create new mirror configuration.
4. Right-click database object, choose mirror-synchronize, synchronize the configuration information.
Now the configuration is recovered.

Root Cause

One damaged disk may cause the data is not synchronous and the configuration information is lost.
