The host cannot find iSCSI port of storage because of wrong configuration of initiatorName

Issue Description

There are ‘_‘, ‘@’, ‘,’ in initiatorName, after configuring right DiscoveryAddress in RedHat host, it cannot find any storages by using iscsi-ls to check iscsi port.

Handling Process

First make the initiatorName legal. Then type /etc/init.d/iscsi restart command to restart iSCSI. Then it can find devices.

Root Cause

InitiatorName does not support special characters. It can only contain letters, ‘-‘, ‘.’.

Suggestions

When name a initiator, please use legal name.
