A customer site, new hard disk is replaced, red light brighten, and cannot be added into RAID group.
No data in field, so directly delete RAID group;
Concrete step is like:
1. Select RAID card property
2. check existing RAID group
3. manage RAID group
4. delete RAID group
If there is data in field, change new replaced hard disk into hot spare disk, initialize automatically, and synchronize data after initialization finish.
1. three steps ahead is same as method 1, the fourth step is: select manage hot spares.
2. press SPACE and select YES, save and quit.
New applied hard disk has RAID card (1068E) configuration information and cannot be added into RAID group.
As some hard disk RAID information is not complete clear, we must clean the information manually.
