Issue Description
Networking: SIG9280 - - - - - S9300 - - - - - - C2950 RADIUS.
Phenomenon: SIG need to receive the message sent by RADIUS, do port mirror with RADIUS in C2950, send the the message to the SIG, but found SIG has not received any RADIUS message.
Alarm Information
Handling Process
1, view mirror data found it indeed mirrored the port data which accessed the RADIUS to upstream port, peer end S9300 mirrors again and sends the messages to the 12/0/3 port of SIG XPU veneer.
2, Capture and analysis the messages which have been sent to SIG in S9300, found that there is loop checking packages whose source MAC and destination MAC are the same in the messages, the packages are generated by cisco C2950, used to detect loop, if there is the message whose source MAC and destination MAC are the same in SIG received messages, it will lead to SPS doesn’t receive any come in message for processing.
3, in the S9300 do mirror and strategy, only mirror the message whose destination IP is RDIUS to SIG, because SIG only needs receive the message whose RADIUS’s CODE is 1 or 4, so that SIG will not receive the message has the same source destination MAC address, and problem solving.
Root Cause
1,mirror data error.
2, SPS problem.
To the SPS message, if its source destination MAC address is the same, SPS will not receive and process.
