Host System: Solaris10U9 for X86
In the SAN group network, the host and the storage array connect normally. Login in the management system of the storage array, create LUN and map it to the host, execute the IO read and write operation for the LUN. During the service reading and writing process, execute the “reboot” or “init 6” command to restart the host. It will appear the suspension with a small probability during the restarting process, i.e. restart failed.

Cut off the power supply, and power on again, restart the host.

Root Cause

It’s the host’s Operating System that caused the host starting failed who is executing the reading and writing operation.

Suggestions

We suggest that don’t restart the host while it’s executing some services. If you want to restart the host, stop these services first.
