A site carries on the Anti-DDOS testing, uses our company’s DDOS simulation software Realstorm do Flood attack simulation. Copy the Realstorm software from other PC to the Windows2003 server which is provided by customer, operating Realstorm software, find it hasn’t sent any data packets and appears the following tips: “plug-in PacketSender.TcpFloodForGuardSender stopped sending message”, leading to the test can’t be carried on normally.
After communicated with customer, change the testing server to 32-bit Windows operating system and then run Realstorm software to carry on Anti-DDOS function testing, everything will be normal.
1, because the original Realstorm software version is the old version and it is copied from other PC, doubt is a file error, leading to it can't be used normally. Through the company's website to download the latest Realstorm software and install it on the customer's test server, and apply for License file; when operating Realstorm software and importing License file, it prompts that the License file is unavailable.
2, Confirmed with the developer, the License file is correct. The R&D doubts it is because Windows2003 operating system’s own problem, install the Realstorm software on lab’s Window 2003 operating system, it is normal.
3, through remote connecting to the customer's server, view the Realstorm software background code, we found that it is because our Realstorm software can't be compatible with 64-bit operating system.
Due to the Realstorm software hasn’t installed and tested in 64-bit operating system, lead to the test failure. Suggest when doing software development we should have more related operating system test to avoid at the user's site appears similar problems, which lead to can’t carry on the follow-up work.
