The method to settle the problem that the capacity occupancy rate of the N8300 node tmp catalog is comparatively high

Issue Description

The occupancy rate of the second node “/tmp” catalog of the N8300 is more than 80%, and there appears the alarm. Login in the “/tmp” catalog of the second node of the N8300, we can’t find the large capacity file.

Alarm Information

The N8300’s alarm threshold is set as 80% of the system capacity has been occupied, while some file system’s occupy rate has exceeded the threshold, it will report an alarm to notify the user, however it doesn’t impact the system.

Handling Process

1. For the user’s current version, considering from the system stability and stop time, we suggest upgrading hot fix, and it won’t influence the customer’s online service.
2. Upload the upgrading package to the “/home/support” catalog of the N8300’s second node (the “/tmp” catalog whose occupy rate >80%).

Root Cause

It’s the logs of “/tmp/” is too large (reach to 6G) that caused there appeared the “/tmp” catalog’s capacity occupy rate is more than 80%, this logs file can’t be cleaned or recycled which leaded the alarm, this problem existed in the version of V1R2SPC001, and from the V1R2SPC002 version on, there isn’t the same problem.
