The system service is abnormal and causes there reports “The RPC server is unavailable” when opening the disk manager

Issue Description
Product and version:
Storage system: S5500T&S5600T&S5800T&S6800T V100R001、V100R002
Host operating system: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2 Edition SP1
1. Check the number of the host virtual LUN, capacity, path information.
2. Plug out the fiber cable from the controller and plug in an idle interface.
3. Delete all the LUN mappings, recreate a LUN and map to the host.
4. Scan the disk on the host, the system ejects an error prompt box “The RPC server is unavailable”.

Handling Process
1. Enter in the controller board-> system and security, turn off the firewall

2. Start the “RPC Locator” service

3. Start the “Virtual Disk” service

4. Execute the “net start rpcss” command, and start the “RPC” service.

5. Execute the “regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msxml3.dll” in the command line, register the file again.
Root Cause
The system's "COM Server Process Launcher" service was stopped, which caused the RPC service was stopped while the disk was reporting and replacing the driver, and finally caused the VDS service was abnormal, rescans the disk, and the system prompt “The RPC server is unavailable”.
If the "RPC" service still can't be used after executing the above steps, please restart the host.
DCOM Server Process Launcher: In fact, DCOM is a protocol, it makes the software group communicating in a reliable, secure and effective method through the network, the DCOM Server Process Launcher provides loading function for the DCOM service, close this service will cause some software drivers can’t install normally, there will be prompted “The RPC server is unavailable”.
RPC: remote procedure call, it a protocol that request the service from the remote computer’s program through the network and it needn’t know the low-layer network technology.
Virtual Disk: provide disk, software volume and file system management service.
