Due to the local storage path of license file is too long, USG5330 upload license failed

Issue Description

USG5330, version V100R003C01SPC006, in SWEB interface uploading license.
Through the following method to import:
1, in the "menu" navigation tree select "system > maintenance".
2, select the "License management" page sign, shows "firewall License information" interface.
3, click the "select", shows "License file management" interface.
4, upload License file.
After imported successfully, in the "License file management" interface did not see the imported file. Try to import the file again, but prompts that the file has already been imported, but in "License file management" interface still can’t see the imported License file.

Handling Process

In user mode use command “delete” delete the original imported documents, store the license.dat file in the root menu of the local disk C, import again, successful, in the "license file management" interface can see the just imported license.dat file, problem is solved.

Root Cause

Login USG5330, in user mode use the dir view the uploaded file’s name has been changed. In the system mode try to use “license file” command activate the license file, indicates that the open failure. Doubt it is because the system according to the path name renamed the license file, judge the problem is for the license file’s local storage path is too long.


When USG5300 imports License file, save the local License file should not choose the menu whose path is long, had better import it in the root menu of disk C or D, in order to avoid the problem the imported license file is renamed by system and can't be identified.
