Modifying the initiator’s name causes the iscsi can’t find the LUN of the S2600.

Issue Description

There has installed the “open-iscsi” in the host in a certain site, add the LUN mapping and port mapping in the S2600. After completing the process, modify the initiator’s name in the OS, and causes there can’t find the LUN of the S2600 in the OS.

Handling Process

Login the S2600 and map the modified short name of the initiator once again, and delete the original mapping short name (the status is disconnected).

Root Cause

cat /etc/iscsi/iscsi.initiatorname
It has been modified as a short name.


Operate strictly according to the guide.
Don’t modify the initiator’s name after completing to map.
