There is N8300 storage in a site, the customers reflect that they add user to the user share file in the Windows XP client failed. Environment: N8300+windows2003 domain controller +HomeDir CIFS share.
1. After the client has joined in the domain, login the N8000 share catalog, add user to the “yfang” file.
2. After clicking to save, the Windows returns the parameter error, and add failed.
1. In the file’s security options, delete the “CREATOR OWNER、CREATOR GROUP”.
The “CREATOR GROUP” is a internal special group permission of the Windows, it is not compatible with the N8000 domain interface, we must delete it from the file rights before adding user.
In the condition that the AD domain + N8300 configuration+ CIFS share, the customers usually modify the share user rights according to their requirement, in order to avoid failure, please delete the “CREATOR OWNER、CREATOR GROUP” before modifying.
