The network priority is wrong causes the SFW can’t configure the public address

Issue Description

While the SFW using the configuration wizard to configure the Oracle service group, there needs to designate the public virtual address information, but there is written a private address in the “Virtual IP address” by default in the wizard, and it can’t be modified.

Handling Process

1. Right-click the “network neighborhood”, select the “attributes”, and then open the “network connection” window.
2. On the toolbar, open the “advancement” -> “advancement setting”. Modify the network accessing order in the “adapter and bundle” tab, and make the “public” network ahead.
3. Run the SFW configuration wizard again, in the “network configuration”, we can configure it as the public network virtual IP address.

Root Cause

Before installing the SFW, the network priority has been configured as the private network is first when building the Windows domain environment.


Pay attention to the network priority while there are more than one network adapters in the server.
