AR2200 PRA interface connect to Nortel PBX have regular down problem

Issue Description

version:AR2200 V200R003C01SPC300


problem description:

AR use E1 connect Nortel PBX, E1 work as PRA, but the PRA link will regular down around each 1 hour. after 2 minutes the E1 will resume automatic.

these are the PRA configuration:
 set workmode slot 1 e1t1 e1-voice
 trunk-group Nortel dss1-net
  enterprise CEFA dn-set Central
  call-right in international-toll out international-toll
  trunk-pra 1/0/0

Handling Process

1 : first the issue is regularity, around 1 hour, and take 2 minutes will resume;

So we consider the VE1 physics layer have problem, check the VE1 status at next time it happen:

PTPSrvState      : Line abnormal       ----------here is the VE1 physics layer,  “Line abnormal” is mean the physics layer abnormal

CTPDState        : Release                  ---------- here is the VE1 protocol  status
LOS              : No alarm
AIS              : No alarm
LFA              : No alarm
LMFA             : No alarm
RRA              : RRA alarm                   ---------here has RRA alarm
CRCERR           : No alarm

From these informations, because the RRA alarm, lead to the VE1 regularity link down. But  the clock  synchronization is a very important reason lead to  RRA alarm.

2: second we check the  clock  synchronization :
there are no clock configure, add the clock  synchronization configuration like this:

 [Huawei]clock  source  9 1/0/0 priority  9

after configure the clock, the RRA alram is disappear, and the service is work normal.

Root Cause



when use PRA, need confirm the clock synchronization.
