MCU cannot be managed by SMC. This affect to all activities related to the MCU, such as creating and managing conference, gatekeeper status, managing endpoints behind MCU, etc.
Alarm Information
Each time MCU is added to SMC 1.0, the progress is success but MCU status is offline. The status itself must be online so that MCU can be managed by SMC.
Handling Process
To make MCU manageable by SMC, please follow this procedure :

1. SSH to MCU
2. Use the command "sys telnet-config enable-security-mode 0"
3. Save and restart MCU
4. Try to add MCU from SMC.
Root Cause
Although its release note stated that this is caused by software incompatibility between MCU and SMC, this issue is actually related with security feature on MCU VP8650. ViewPoint 8660 V100R007C02B018SP03 (and all versions after this) has a feature to disable management configs by another parties, and this feature is enable by default.
This issue caused by security feature from the MCU software. Based on the information given from Huawei GTAC, all software version made in 2013 has this feature. In case Huawei or partner engineers is facing this error, you can follow above procedure.
