Issue Description

When AR1200 connects to a remote third party vendor by using PPP and needs to use a domain name to access the Internet ,AR as a LAC ,it can get the IP address from LNS ,but DNS.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

On this situation ,please remember to obtain  a DNS .
There are 3 ways to get   DNS:
[AR-Virtual-Template1]ppp ipcp dns ?
IP_ADDR<X.X.X.X>  Specify primary DNS server IP address
admit-any         Accept any DNS address peer suggested
request           Request DNS addresses from peer

[AR-Virtual-Template1]ppp ipcp dns request

The “ppp ipcp dns admit-any” command is to configure  AR1200 to accept the DNS server address specified by the remote device or run the “ppp ipcp dns request”  command to configure the AR1200 to request a DNS server address from the remote device.
The “ppp ipcp dns ”command cannot be used together with “ppp ipcp dns admit-any “or “ppp ipcp dns request”.

After  this  can get  a DNS ,and  the PC can visit some web site with URL.

Root Cause

When a host connects to the AR1200 by using PPP and needs to use a domain name to access the Internet, the AR1200 must specify a DNS server address for the host. This command also can be used on serial interfaces, including common serial interfaces, synchronous serial interfaces created by using CE1/PRI interfaces and CT1/PRI interfaces, Async interfaces.
