In CONAGUA project there are 78 Videoconference services with RP200 devices. When they established a Videoconference the image is freezing and the warning of packet lost is appearing.
The Warning alarm of packet lost appear on the screen frequently.
We found that a lot of RP200 was connected to a switch and the port was configured in auto-negotiation mode, also we found that the switches topology was very bad because from the Core switch to the switch when the RP200 was connected there were more than 20 switches interconnected, causing performance problems because the trunk ports should managed a lot of traffic in a single port.
We relocate each RP200 to get connected directly to the Core Switch, disabling auto-negotiation mode and fixed to 100M, full duplex.
With this change we could provide a good Videoconference service and the costumer didn't complain anymore.
For each Videoconference device we should check in the topology and review each configuration port.
With a new implementation network you can manage a good wire structure, topology and services but when you are replacing services in a old network is very difficult to control this kind of problems.
You must take care about all of these points to avoid future problems.
