Modifying the Floating IP Address of the Database in FusionAccess V100R005

Issue Description

During the configuration of the ITA or HDC, a message is displayed indicating that the connection to the database failed.

Handling Process

1. Reconfigure the floating IP address of the database.
For details, see the GPI manual.
2. Set the database floating IP address on the active ITA server.
a) Log in to the active ITA server.
b) Switch to C:\ITA\tomcat\vDesktop\WEB-INF\conf\application-context and open the applicationContext-db.xml file.
c) Locate <property name="jdbcUrl" value="jdbc:postgresql://"/> and change the IP address (in red) to the database floating IP address set in step 1.
d) Restart the tomcat service on the ITA server.
Double-click tomcat7w.exe in C:\ITA, and stop and then start the service.
3. Repeat step 2 on the standby ITA server.
4. Log in to the FusionAccess portal and configure the ITA database information.

Root Cause

If the database can be accessed by using the database server IP address rather than the database floating IP address, the floating IP address conflicts with the IP address of another device.


 If the database can be accessed by using the database server IP address, the floating IP address is incorrectly configured.
 Before setting a floating IP address, run the ping command to check that the IP address is not used.
