MCU 8660 board faulty

Publication Date:  2014-06-05 Views:  327 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

customer was complaining about the resources of the board that they want to make a 16 sub multipicture call on CIF protocol but was unable to do that because MCU was showing some error.

Alarm Information

this was the alarm info on MCU when checked.

Handling Process

so first i tried to check the alarm info that which alarm is causing the problem. then i found out configuration alarm. at first i thought may be there is some configuration issue with the MCU and SMC. after i verified all the configurations were fine. no problem with the configurations but alarm was still there. then i thought may be this alarm means something else. then by checking i found that if this alarm occurs on the MCU board it means that the MCU board hardware is faulty and there is a need to replace the board. also you can not only change the sub board but the whole board. other wise it will not work fine alarm will still be there if you do not change the main board.

Root Cause

the MCU was unable to make 16 sub multipicture conference call on CIF protocol and customer was saying that we did not completed the hardware resources mentioned in the BOQ as this project is very old. so we need to satisfy the customer by completing all the things mentioned in the BOQ.

Whenever tsi568a alarm appears simply change the board as you cannot do anything for this. so try to change the whole board if some sub bolard is ok on the faulty board you can connect that on new board as well.
