how to migrate a VM

Issue Description

If the service load is too heavy on the host or the host is faulty, migrate the VMs to another host to prevent service interruption due to a host exception.

Alarm Information


Handling Process

1- On the FusionManager, choose Resource > Resource Pool.
On the Resource Pool page in the left pane, expand Data Center, and select Computing Resource Pool of the specified data center. In the resource cluster list on the right, click a resource cluster name.

The Summary page is displayed.

2- On the VM page, enter the search criteria and click Search.
The VM that meets the search criteria is displayed.

3-  Click the VM name
The Summary page is displayed.

4-  Click Migrate in the Operation area.
The Migrate VM page is displayed.

5-  Select Change host as the migration mode.
Click Next

6-  Select the migration mode and the destination host.

7-  Click Migrate.
The Complete page is displayed.

8-  Click View Task.
