iSCSI disconnected after reboot

Publication Date:  2014-08-02 Views:  240 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

The iscsi connections are disconnected after system reboot.  But the connection is working fine after rebuild.
Charp is enabled successfully. The logs did not show anything

Alarm Information

The iSCSI connection is disconnected

Handling Process

Enable storage chap first or reboot the host after enable the Chap to verify.

Root Cause

The storage would verify the chap info only after the host relogin. That’s difference from our thinking. So iSCSI connection would be working even if the chap between storage and the host are different. And the chap enablement would also shows successfully. That really not means it’s ready for the iSCSI connection.

1. Add notification when enable chap from storage side.
2. Add the root cause when iSCSI is disconnected.
