Firmware upgrade for S2600T

Issue Description

When upgrading, an error message appeared : "Cannot perform the upgrade because system resources (CPU or memory) are insufficient."

Alarm Information

Cannot perform the upgrade because system resources (CPU or memory) are insufficient.

Handling Process

In offline mode, there is no need to follow a procedure, because the process will be killed when the controllers reset.

If we need to do upgrade online, we need to follow the steps below relatedto this issue:

 Run top command in mini-system to view the process. The discovered process should be os_debug_mode_p and the PID of this process is 5203 (in this case).

 In mini-system, run kill -9 pid to kill the process. You should input the PID of your process, in our case the command is kill -9 5203. Please see below:

 After this, you need to execute exit command to stop the process.


After this, the process will be stopped and you can performed the upgrade online.

Root Cause

This alarm if because of a thread that is running and use the CPU and also the memory. The customer has logged in before in minisystem and didn't log out.
