Issue Description

Starting the MySQL Database


You have logged in to the server over the BMC WebUI on a PC. For details, see Log In to the RH2285 Server over the BMC WebUI.


1) Log in to the server as user root, right-click on the desktop, and choose Open Terminal to open the CLI.

2) Run the following command to check whether the database is running.

> su - mysql -c '/etc/init.d/mysql status'
MySQL running (26617)             done
If the preceding information is displayed, the database is running.

3) Run the following command to start or restart the server.

• Starting the database
# su - mysql -c '/etc/init.d/mysql start'
• Restarting the database
# su - mysql -c '/etc/init.d/mysql restart'
