FAQ-How to use " Address Pool" of U1981

Issue Description

For security purpose, customer have a special request for the eSpace U1981 configuration.
Customer only wish the IP phone can register within the IP range they requested.
Example of IP range : -

Hence , any User which not in the IP range will not able to register.
There is a disvantages , where customer have to change each user authotization type to Authbyaddrpool manually.

The solution is create address pool in eSpace U1981 and change the User Authorization type to "Authorization by Address pool " rules.


Step :

1.) Add the Addresspool in the eSpace U1981

-config add addresspool index 0 startip endip

2.) show address pool

index       startip             endip


Note : The maximum index is 999 only for eSpace U1981

3.) Modify the User right by authorization type  ( This scenario is for existing User dn 7556 )

-config modify eipue eid 7556 authorizationtype authbyaddrpool pooltype all

4.) After that , you can test with the IP phone with the static IP -

The result will be unable to log in ( Incorrect Login User Name  / Password )

To add the user in batch , you can use the command line below to add 60 user or more in sequence :

-Config modify batch sipue seid 7500 authorizationtype authbyaddrpool pooltype all number 60
