Terminals in private network can't register to SC

Publication Date:  2015-04-16 Views:  202 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

HUAWEI SMC2.0 V100R003C00

HUAWEI Switch Center V100R005C00

The SC use the firewall mode, LAN1 port connects to private network with IP address, LAN2 port connects to public network.

Terminals in the segment 10.200.0.X(the same segment with SC LAN1 port) can register to SC, but terminals in other segments (such as the 10.200.7.X) can't register to SC, even can't ping the SC.

Handling Process

1.Use a laptop to connect the SC LAN1 cables and set the IP as, terminal in 10.200.7.X segment can ping the laptop, so the network problem can be excluded.

2.Check the SC configuration, we find that the default route of SC is LAN2, and LAN1 doesn't configure any static-route, so that it can't communicate with devices in other segments.

3.Add static routes to other segments for LAN1, use this command

sys static-route add dest-address mask-or-prefix network-port lan1.

4.Terminals in 10.200.7.X segment can register to SC, issue has been solved.

Root Cause

LAN1 doesn't configure any static-route.

Add static routes to other segments for LAN1.

Engineer should do the configuration as the the product document guide.
