When a SIP user dials a number, this user cannot hear the announcements played by the SoftCo. The user then dials *125, but the user still cannot hear the announcements.
Step 1 Capture packets in the local end of the SoftCo to check whether normal audio packets can be captured.
If normal audio packets can be captured, there must be network or terminal faults.
If normal audio packets cannot be captured, check the system configurations.
Run the show board command to ensure that the media resource board is running normally.
Run the show all files command to ensure that the size of the voice file is appropriate.
Verify that the VLAN configuration on the SoftCo is the same as that on the upstream switch.
Step 2 If all the proceeding operations are completed but the fault still persists, connect a POTS phone user for testing. If the POTS user can hear the announcements, the SoftCo functions are normal. Then, check the signaling and network configurations. If the signaling and network configurations are correct, it must be a SoftCo fault. To resolve the SoftCo fault, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
The possible causes are as follows:
Faults occur in the network.
Data configurations are incorrect.
Boards are faulty.
