A user cannot log in to the SoftCo through the Telnet on the PC.
Step 1 Analyze the packets captured from the live network. It is found that the SoftCo has received a TCP connection request from the PC but the connection fails in the third step of a three-way handshake.
Step 2 Analyze the packets captured from the live network. It is found that the user has configured the dual-network-port mode and uses the network segment of network port 1 to telnet the IP address (belonging to the network management data) of network port 1. However, the product documentation specifies definitely that in the dual-network-port mode, the network management data is transferred through network port 0 and the service data is transferred through network port 1.
Step 3 Use the network segment of network port 0 to telnet the IP address of network port 0. The PC can be successfully connected to the SoftCo through the Telnet.
The possible causes are as follows:
The network is faulty.
The network port configuration is incorrect.
