What Does the BOM Number on the AR Mean?


You can run the display elabel command to view the BOM number of a device. The BarCode field indicates the BOM number, for example, 210235293310B5000001.

The following describes the meanings of characters in 210235293310B5000001:
  • 21: indicates a module (such as a board) or the device.
  • 0235xxxx/0231xxxx: specifies the device number or module number that is the BOM number applied by Huawei.
  • 10: indicates a vendor. 10 indicates Huawei.
  • B: specifies the year. B specifies 2011, A specifies 2010, and 9 specifies 2009.
  • 5: specifies the month.
  • 000001: specifies the sequence number of the device, module, or board.
