Why Are Source MAC Addresses Not Learned?


Source MAC addresses are not learned for one of the following reasons:
  • Packets are discarded on the inbound interface.
  • The number of learned media access control (MAC) address entries reaches the threshold.
  • The interface is no longer in the learning state.
