Handling Process
For a faulty RAID controller card, recommend that the customer should not refresh the RAID controller card firmware without help from Huawei technical support, and Huawei provides a new RAID controller card for replacement. For faulty RAID controller cards, the onsite engineer needs to consult with Huawei headquarters by dialing the Huawei hot line (4008229999) to decide whether to provide new RAID controller cards in batches for replacement.

Root Cause
An error occurs after the RAID controller card firmware is refreshed, which results in an unrecoverable fault of the control IC on the RAID controller card.

The fault is caused after the customer refreshed the RAID controller card firmware. The RAID controller card firmware cannot be detected normally, and therefore the RAID controller card cannot work properly.

Customers do not need to upgrade the RAID controller card firmware. If the RAID controller card firmware needs to be upgraded, the customer should consult with Huawei technical support (4008229999) for further operations. Otherwise, the RAID controller card may be damaged by misoperations.
