If you add an MCU9630 to the SMC2.0 after the videoconferencing environment is set up, the MCU9630 can get online successfully, but the Major alarm icon is displayed under MCU Status, as shown in Figure 2-7.

Figure 2-8 shows the MCU alarm information on the Alarm Details page.
Figure 2-8 MCU alarm information
Step 1 Log in to the MCU in SSH mode.
Step 2 Run the web userinfo command to check the HTTP connection status.
If bLogin is set to 0, the http connection fails.
Step 3 To meet the security requirements, the connection password of the MCU is changed to the default value Change_Me and the connection password of the SMC remains the administrator's password.
Step 4 Log in to the SMC2.0 web interface, change the connection password of the MCU on the page for changing passwords, and save the settings.
Step 5 In the SMC2.0 web interface, check whether the alarm is cleared. Then log in to the MCU in SSH mode and run the web userinfo command to check whether the value of bLogin changes to 1.
If yes, the connection between the SMC and the MCU is successfully set up.
If no, continue to locate the fault.
The connection passwords of the SMC and MCU are different, leading to the failure to set up the HTTP connection between the SMC and the MCU.
